Thinking about my role as a Jumpstart Mentee, I used to value the ideas, intellect, creativity, etc. of children on a surface level. And now I am deeply engaged with their pure passion for learning and navigating the world at such a young age, and thus more forgiving and understanding of their big emotions, as well as more forgiving and understanding of who I was as a child.
