Teaching interests:

  • Research methods; Action research; Program planning and evaluation; Human resource management.

Research interests:

  • Youth development; diversity and management practices; evaluation of programs for children and youth; after school programs for children and youth; organizational structures of programs for children and youth
     

Service interests:

  • Served on the Board of Directors for the Community Network of Youth Development (President for 4 years) that is an intermediary organization that provides technical support and education for youth serving agencies in the greater Bay Area

  • Affiliated with the W. John Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University

  • Serves on the Advisory Board for the Community Schools Development project with the Cabrillo Unified School District in Half Moon Bay

  • Recently elected to the Board of Directors of the California School Age Consortium.
