Intervention development, field testing, and randomized controlled trials to
promote teacher social and emotional competence and reduce stress.

Examination of how teacher stress affects teacher behavior and child and
classroom outcomes.

Evaluate and analyze data to make policy recommendations to improve quality of
educational settings.
Current Projects

Cultivating Emotional Balance in the Classroom (CEBC) - a randomized, controlled
field trail to determine the effects of the Cultivating Emotional Balance 9cEB)
training on teacher classroom behavior.

Awareness and Concentration in Teaching (ACT) - a pilot project to extend
aspects of CEB specifically to emotional issues related to teaching and
classroom management.
