Research interests:
  • Intervention development, field testing, and randomized controlled trials to promote teacher social and emotional competence and reduce stress.
  • Examination of how teacher stress affects teacher behavior and child and classroom outcomes.
  • Evaluate and analyze data to make policy recommendations to improve quality of educational settings.
Current Projects
  • Cultivating Emotional Balance in the Classroom (CEBC) - a randomized, controlled field trail to determine the effects of the Cultivating Emotional Balance 9cEB) training on teacher classroom behavior.
  • Awareness and Concentration in Teaching (ACT) - a pilot project to extend aspects of CEB specifically to emotional issues related to teaching and classroom management.
