Teaching interests:

  • Ecological influences on child and adolescent development; Applied child development; Research methods; Child and family policy; Child welfare; Field supervision

Research interests:

  • Family support at many levels:  informal support from neighbors and peers, formal support from community and social institutions such as child care, and institutional support provided by government through policies. 

  • Child maltreatment prevention

  • Program development and administration

  • International child welfare

Service interests:

  • Board member, International Children's Resource Institute 

  • Advisory board member, Romanian Children's Relief

  • Assessment and research on the CAD Dual Language Program
